Hello Everyone,

Hope everyone is well. These past couple of weeks have been very busy me.
With a new Venue opening at Treasure Island and the back and forth of business politics. I haven't had time to post a blog :-) Or have time to remember the name of the following....

Yummy!
Tastey Dessert!
Tastey Dessert!

Recently I had to shoot some restaurant platters. I call them platters, but I know most chefs hate it when I describe their dishes as platters. That is something that I am trying to correct. Sorry Adam and Ralphie.

I had to update the food photography for the restaurant at the Luxor. The place that we have been revamping. As well as the desserts at another restaurant called Social House inside the Treasure Island. If you go to the website you will see some cool interior photos that the STUD shot. Ha!!

Anyway, here are some approved shots from Company American Bistro.

Around the same time of this I was running around trying to get my personal things ready for my 2nd upcoming Expo at The Beatles, Revolution Lounge located inside the Mirage, Las Vegas.

The event turned out okay. 450 people thru the door. The expo was part of a rock/art event promo that the lounge is starting on a weekly basis. My event was the launch party for it.

Here are some photos of the beginning of the night. The photos were taken by friend and co-worker Adam Chen.

i heard that food photographers almost never shoot the actual food, cause it would melt away under the strong lighting....seems like you were lucky and had some real food :D
congrats on the expo and a happy birthday to your lil' one!
Posted by mrLarios on June 12, 2008 1:26 PM
From my experience in food photography, the food has always been fresh right out of the kitchen.
Most Fine Dining Places want the original dish shot, not a fraud:-)
I know for TV commercials are different because of set lights and everything else.

Take care my friend!
